LOCTITE® 243 is a medium-strength, blue anaerobic threadlocker designed to lock and seal threaded fasteners, preventing loosening caused by vibration, shock, and thermal cycling. It cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, creating a durable bond that helps maintain the integrity of bolted assemblies while protecting against leaks and corrosion.

Suitable for use on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other active or passive metals, LOCTITE 243 is formulated to perform reliably even on parts with slight oil contamination. This makes it an excellent choice for maintenance, repair, and production environments where perfectly clean fasteners may not always be available.

Once cured, LOCTITE 243 prevents self-loosening, reduces maintenance requirements, and seals threads against moisture and corrosive fluids.
